Here is a chance to become a top hair stylist. One of the top hair schools, Aveda is offering up five full scholarships in five different cities across Canada.  It’s a unique  hair school scholarship video contest. Aveda Institute Canada is giving away five hairstyling scholarships! The winning candidates will receive the grand prize of full tuition at one of our top hair schools in Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Victoria.  To win, you must create and submit a well thought out video explaining and clearly illustrating you are “Born to Style” with hair. Top celebrity judges will be selecting a winner from each of the five cities (Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg and Toronto).

Many of you have heard and seen the name Aveda.   The AVEDA Institute is a top notch hair school that takes talented and creative individuals and turns out Picasso hair stylists.   We aren’t talking average  barbers or run of the mill hairdressers who are trained at Aveda schools.  The world’s biggest and best fashion magazines have these pros illustrating their art of hair.  They go far in the hairstyling world with this training institute.

Here are Some of the Things the Judges Are Looking For:  VIDEOS WILL BE JUDGED ON THE FOLLOWING:

 Boldness and clarity of artistic vision

 Originality and creativity

 Demonstrates candidate is fashion forward and understands the Aveda mission

The video  contest started Thursday December 1st, 2011 at
12:00:01 a.m.  and the last  day to submit a video is March 31st, 2012 at 11:59:59 a.m. ET

There’s 3 Easy Steps to Win Your Scholarship

STEP 1: create a video

Create a video to show us why you are BORN TO STYLE and why you’ve got the talent, passion and determination it takes to develop your hairstyling skills with the Aveda Institute Canada.

STEP 2: Upload and Share

Go to the website and enter your video at www.avedainstitute.ca/scholarship. Upload your video then share your entry with the world to see.  Share your Aveda Institute entry page link with all your family and friends.  Maybe gain some new fans and followers and get them to rate your video to increase your chances and viewership.  Share your talent with the online world and prepare to become the next Edward Scissor Hands.

STEP 3: Hair Showdown

These future hairdressers will participate in a live head-to-head competition and runway show putting together a complete hair look in front of a panel of style experts and hairstyling pros.  Our panel of hair and beauty professionals along with the faculty will hand pick five aspiring hairstylists in each city to advance to the final round. The winner in each city will be awarded a full scholarship to the a Aveda Institute hair school.
